ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister A. Rehman Malik on Monday said that thousands of anti-Islam Internet links had been blocked, across the country.He stated this after a meeting he held with Ulema and Mashaikh, who called on him here at the ministry. He said the government of Pakistan and he personally strongly condemned the anti-Islam film.He said in a high level meeting, the chairman of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) had been directed to block all anti Islam materials. He warned Google administration to remove theanti-Islammaterial, otherwise the visas of google officials would be cancelled.He said, “I wrote a letter to the
UN and asked for taking serious notice of the issue which is hurting interfaith harmony.”He said he had also written a letter to Interpol head, demanding an action against those elements who were out to defame Islam which promote peace and harmony.
