Lawyers observe strike, boycott court proceedings

MULTAN: Lawyers on Thursday observed strike and boycotted court proceedings in support of democracy in the country.High Court Bar Association president Athar Hassan Bukhari said lawyers had always struggled for survival and promotion of democracy.He said no body would be allowed to derail democracy and lawyers were ready to sacrifice their lives for its protection.DBA president Sher Zaman Qureshi said political matters should be resolved through talks.
